There are several ways to build a classic pergola with the Cover 3D software. Once you have created your project, click on the "Veranda" icon at the top right of your screen. In fact, a pergola is classified in the family of verandas.
A window will appear and you can name your construction.
When your construction is named, a second window appears and offers you three alternatives: create a pergola from scratch, from a parametric shape or from a library.
Depending on your choice, you will be more or less free to build your pergola. We detail them together below.
1. From scratch
As the name suggests, you build a pergola from scratch. You will have to create it from A to Z with your measurements and your client's wishes.
2. From a parametric shape
Think of the parametric shape as a skeleton.
If you choose to create a pergola from a parametric shape, you will be able to reuse a pre-built pergola to make your task easier. The Cover 3D software provides you with a library of predefined parametric shapes that you can use and modify as you wish. It is also possible to add your own predefined pergolas.
Please note: the parametric shapes are not finished verandas. You will have to use your tricks to build it more completely: define your roof and infills.
Once your parametric shape is dressed, you can save it in your library to use this model, thus completed, more easily.
3. From a library
If you choose to create a pergola from a library, you will have access to the complete predefined pergolas in your inventory. No need to make any changes, the pergola is ready to use.
However, it is always possible to make changes to the pergola from a library if necessary.
